Normet Group has been approved as a participant of the UN Global Compact Initiative

NORMET GROUP LTD.  PRESS RELEASE 6 JUNE 2024 AT 09:00 AM EEST
Normet Group has been approved as a participant of the UN Global Compact Initiative

We are pleased to announce that we have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary initiative for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

With this announcement, Normet is proud to join thousands of other companies globally committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies based in over 160 countries, and more than 60 Global Compact Networks. The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with Ten universally accepted Principles with respect to human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Normet contributes in a positive way to the SDGs through its strategy, policies, innovations, and partnerships.

“Normet applying and being accepted as a participant of the UN Global Compact initiative is a further step in our sustainability journey. I am pleased with our involvement and very much in support of the initiative”, comments President and CEO Ed Santamaria, Normet Group.
